What could be more comforting on a cold winter’s day than a warm serving of french toast? We decided to take this classic breakfast favourite, and put our own sweet little spin on this dish that will surely stand out at your next Sunday brunch!

Makes: two servings of french toast


  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp of African Bronze forest honey
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp of butter
  • African Bronze cinnamon forest honey for topping (or make your own by combining honey and cinnamon before topping).


  • Combine milk, egg, vanilla, honey and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Begin to heat your pan at medium heat and melt butter.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the milk mixture. Make sure it is evenly coated, then transfer to the hot fry pan.
  • Fry each side of your french toast for a minute or two on each side (or until golden brown), using a spatula to flip.
  • Transfer the cooked french toast to your serving plates and drizzle with cinnamon forest honey.
  • Enjoy your Sunday brunch!
