What better way to celebrate Canada Day than with its National cocktail, the Caesar. This year to kick things up a notch, we’ve put a twist on the traditional Caesar by using our very own Hot Honey. While the Whiskey adds depth to the cocktail, the sweetness and spiciness of the Hot Honey tie the ingredients together harmoniously. Topped with Hot Honey glazed bacon, this cocktail will cover your sweet tooth while providing that savoury flavour!

  • Clamato juice
  • 1 Ounce of your preferred Whiskey (It tastes great without alcohol too for a mock-tail)
  • 2 dashes of Tabasco
  • 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of horseradish sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of African Bronze Hot Honey
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • Celery salt

  • Double-smoked thick bacon
  • Coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 ounce African Bronze Hot Honey

Rim your choice of glass with a lime wedge, and press the rim into celery salt.  Add ice and hand-blend whiskey, tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, lime juice, African Bronze Hot Honey together in a glass, and top with Clamato juice.  Garnish with Hot Honey Glazed bacon and celery.

Hot Honey glazed bacon

Preheat the oven to 350 °F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place bacon on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush or drizzle your choice of African Bronze honey on bacon. Continue baking for 15 minutes until the strips of bacon are caramelized and crispy. Remove from the oven and sprinkle coarsely ground black pepper on top, and let cool.
