When it comes to making cocktails, simple syrup is a common ingredient used to add sweetness and balance to a drink. Traditionally, simple syrup is made with refined white sugar and water, but did you know that using a honey simple syrup can be a great alternative?
Unlike refined white sugar, honey is unprocessed and doesn’t undergo any chemical treatment, meaning it retains more natural nutrients and antioxidants. As a result, using honey simple syrup in your cocktails can provide a healthier alternative to a traditional simple syrup made with refined sugar.
Furthermore, our honey has a unique flavour profile that can add depth and complexity to your cocktails. Depending on the type of honey you use, you can create a variety of flavours that can enhance the taste of your drink. For example, using dark honey will impart a rich and robust flavour, while using light honey will add a more delicate sweetness.
Another advantage of using honey simple syrup in cocktails is its viscosity. Compared to traditional simple syrup, honey is thicker and has a more syrupy consistency, which creates a richer and more velvety mouthfeel in your drinks.
